Legislative change – operation of pressure equipment
On 1 July 2022, Czech Act No. 250/2021 Coll. on occupational safety in the operation of reserved technical equipment will take effect, replacing, among other provisions, Decree No. 18/1979 Coll.

for the operation of pressure equipment
On 1 July 2022, Czech Government Regulation No. 192/2022 Coll. on reserved technical pressure equipment and requirements for its safe operation took effect, replacing, among other provisions, Decree No. 18/1979 Coll. Under this regulation, oil separators in stationary and mobile screw compressors are classified as reserved pressure equipment* and the operator must ensure that they are operated in accordance with the legislation.
This means that these devices should undergo regular inspections and safety equipment testing, and be operated by people trained to operate pressure vessels.
*Does not apply to vessels below 10 litres where the product of volume in litres and maximum working gauge pressure in bar does not exceed 100.
