On 10 October 2018, as part of the Young Energy Europe project under the Czech-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry, we gave a presentation at the National Library of Technology on potential savings in compressed air production. Alongside the Czech Republic, Hungary, Bulgaria and Greece participate in this international project coordinated by Germany, where the energy-saving education programme has already been successful for five years.
Young Energy Europe is aimed at manufacturing companies and their young employees. Participants learn to identify opportunities to save energy and resources, then independently propose specific savings measures for their own companies.
Young Energy Scouts are expected to initiate savings measures and help their companies implement climate protection policies. Young Energy Europe is funded by Germany’s Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety and forms part of the European Climate Initiative (EUKI) in the Czech Republic.
