New issue of Compressed Air Economics bulletin 2/20

The main topic of the new Compressed Air Economics bulletin is alternative ways to run a compressor station: operating leasing and outsourcing.

For industry, 2020 has been a very turbulent year, above all a year of uncertainty. With markets unsettled by the global COVID-19 pandemic, many companies are cutting costs and improving operational efficiency – and compressor stations are no exception.

We have therefore devoted the main feature of the new Economics of Compressed Air bulletin to alternative ways of operating a compressor station – operating leases and outsourcing. These ways of acquiring and operating compressed air production equipment focus on low energy consumption and, by their very nature as services, on maintaining that efficiency throughout the station’s operating life. This issue also includes a summary of the analyses we carried out in 2020, an article on removing static charge with air nozzles, and an example of building a containerised compressor stations as an extension, with an emphasis on minimising compressed air production costs.
