Compressed Air Economics bulletin 2023
A new issue of Compressed Air Economics was published before the end of the year. It explores two-stage compression as a new approach to reducing compressed air generation costs.
A new issue of Compressed Air Economics was published before the end of the year. It explores two-stage compression as a new approach to reducing compressed air generation costs. Its higher efficiency is also confirmed by independent measurements at VSB – Technical University of Ostrava, whose results are presented in another article.
Costs of compressed air generation, distribution and use can be reduced not only by choosing the right compressor, but also by correctly designing the compressor room and pipework and optimising the whole system. For a closer look at savings in this area, see the article “Compressed air — where to find savings“.
The bulletin also discusses integrated versus external compressed air dryers, compressor room expansion, and the most common operating problems with a condensate separator and the related new condensate treatment technology: the BEKO Qwik-pure active oil separator.
