How we calculate
Method: V = max(Qdemand − Qsupply, 0) × t × pref / (pmax − pmin) × Tvessel/Tref. Isothermal storage balance for an ideal gas; flow at 1.01325 bar abs and 20 °C.
Assumptions and limitations: This is not a pressure-vessel strength design or sizing based on switching frequency. Rapid expansion may cool the stored air and reduce usable capacity. Add distribution losses and check replenishment time between peaks.
Method references- CAGI Compressed Air & Gas Handbook, chapter 4, 2021 – system design, storage and pressure losses.
Method version 1.0. Standard references verified in the ISO catalogue; the physical balances are not calculations prescribed by ISO. Before final design, we will verify actual operating and catalogue data.
