How much water can you heat with waste heat?
Estimate the heated water flow and tank heating time. The heat source must be hot enough.

How we calculate
Method: Puseful = P × efficiency. Q = Puseful/(ρcpΔT). Time = ρVcpΔT/Puseful. Water: ρ = 998 kg/m³, cp = 4180 J/(kg·K).
Assumptions and limitations: Constant available output, excluding tank heat losses and water draw-off during heating. The heat exchanger manufacturer must confirm the temperature approach; the entered condition is necessary but not sufficient to guarantee output.
Method references- Spirax Sarco: Engineering Units – water heat balance; constant properties are an approximation.

Method version 1.0. Standard references verified in the ISO catalogue; the physical balances are not calculations prescribed by ISO. Before final design, we will verify actual operating and catalogue data.
