Energy loss during idle running
Consuming energy without producing compressed air: that is the story of one compressor at a metalworking company in Vysočina.
Consuming energy without producing compressed air: that is the story of one compressor at a metalworking company in Vysočina. Using an Energy analyses we identified a compressor that was operating incorrectly, spending most of its load/unload cycle running unloaded.
In this state, the compressor uses around one-third of its loaded energy consumption but produces no compressed air.
Replacing it with a variable-speed compressor can save up to 30% of annual compressed air production costs, approximately CZK 180,000. The new compressor pays back in 1.5 years.
