Not all 15 kW compressors are the same

Does the pressure in your production facility sometimes drop? Insufficient compressor output may be one of the reasons. An unnamed dairy in the Vysočina region experienced this first-hand. By combining energy and pressure analyses, we measured a pressure drop of 1.5 bar when peak demand equalled compressor output.

These pressure drops can lead to financial losses due to production stoppages.

We simulated replacing the existing older 15 kW compressor, delivering 31 l/s, with a variable-speed compressor from the new Atlas Copco range. Thanks to new technology, its delivery capacity ranges from 7.1 to 41.8 l/s, providing a 26% output reserve. Eliminating unloaded running would also achieve annual savings of around CZK 40,000.
